New Years Review-lution

Woohoo! I got a Kindle for Christmas!

See? Proof!

It was a present from my parents (i.e. my mother), and I must say, this might be the coolest thing they’ve ever given me. This may be cooler than the collapsible easel I got for my birthday, or the Lego watch they brought me home from California. (To be fair, the Lego watch would take a close second.)

They even bought me a leather case for it. My Mom said she picked the orange one because it would be easier to find. Not like I need it of course.

I only lost four cell phones in the last five years. What's she worrying about?

My goal was to read some classic literature before winter break ends. It’s the first time in months I’ve had enough time. Since Christmas, though, all I’ve managed to do is download a bunch of books and play copious amounts of Every Word.

Seriously, this game is crack. Avoid it like the plague if you have responsibilities.

Now it’s the new year. A new decade.

For some reason, I feel like I should be productive. It’s too easy to get distracted, and there’s no excuse for sitting on my butt all break. I don’t want to cop out anymore. I’m tired of waking up at 3 pm and realizing I haven’t taken a shower in two days.

I’m putting my ambitions to read classic literature on hold. It’ll still be there in a couple of years, and I want to read something worth reviewing. So I’m going to review free ebooks for the Kindle. Most of them will be self published, and probably all of them will suck, but if I can find one gem, I’ll call this a success.
